KOKB began his art journey in 2016 when he took his first ever Chinese calligraphy class in an attempt to learn the difficult language through art. Years have passed and KOKB is still regularly learning from experienced calligraphy gurus. In fact, his interest in the brush-and-ink medium has never faded but rather evolved into one of his craziest obsessions!
As KOKB continues his never ending brush-and-ink journey, this site will attempt to collect, present, and archive his volumes of creative artworks.
Some interesting facts about KOKB:
- He’s a true Hongkonger, born and raised in HK until he followed his family to a western country at the age of 8.
- He’s obsessed with learning and drawing Chinese characters, but there’s no profanity in his work.
- He draws in traditional Chinese characters only (繁體字), no simplified forms.
- He’s somewhat introverted and anti-social.
- His all time favorite artists include Vincent Van Gogh and 曾灶財 (aka King of Kowloon).
